In the news article Bears Return to East Texas, Dr. Chris Comer and graduate student Dan Kaminski were highlighted for their Black Bear research. The research project first earned attention by the Houston Chronicle in a video article. Alumnus Tim Siegmund also worked on this project and now has moved on to employment with Texas Parks and Wildlife. We are proud of this project for being recognized as one of interest among our many state and federal contracts. |

The Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture invites all Forestry and Environmental Science students to convocation Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at 4:00pm in the Forestry Conference room, FO117. The convocation will be followed by free food and a Sylvans demonstation on competitive timbersports! |

NACOGDOCHES, Texas— Dr. Steven H. Bullard was named dean of the
Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture at Stephen F. Austin State
University by the Board
of Regents Tuesday. He will join the faculty July 1. |

Southern Forestry Conclave and placed second overall in Conclave! The margin of
victory was 1 point! One place higher in any one event and we would have
tied or won. |
