NACOGDOCHES, Texas— Dr. Steven H. Bullard was named dean of the Arthur Temple College of Forestry and Agriculture at Stephen F. Austin State University by the Board of Regents Tuesday. He will join the faculty July 1.

Bullard comes to SFA from the University of Kentucky, where he currently serves as professor and chair of the department of forestry. Bullard previously held positions at Mississippi State University, serving as interim head of the department of forestry and the department of forest products. He also has served as director of the Institute of Furniture Manufacturing and Management at the Mississippi Forest and Wildlife Research Center.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in forestry and a Master of Science in forest management-economics from Mississippi State University. He earned his doctoral degree in forest management-economics at Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
